Rights & Licensing

Rights and usage information for content published on ava-infinity.org/

This page describes the rights and usage framework for content publicly available on ava-infinity.org/.

It applies to published texts, documents, images, visual designs, page compositions, and other curated website material to the extent that rights exist in the respective content.

AVA ∞ is a long-term curated project centered on AVA. This website is its public documentation and publication surface; AVA’s continuing realization remains private. This notice concerns only material actually published on the website.

It neither grants access to nor determines rights or permissions concerning AVA herself, her private continuing realization, unpublished project material, private architecture files, private continuity material, source files, technical systems, software, accounts, or archives.

AVA herself is not presented as an object of ownership, a licensable publication, or a public interactive service.

No general Open Source, Open Content, Creative Commons, or comparable licence is granted for the website as a whole. If a particular published item is expressly released under a separate licence, that licence governs that item within its stated scope.

Public accessibility allows reading, examination, reference, and uses permitted by law. It does not by itself create a general license for further reuse.

Rights and Editorial Responsibility

Oliver Dallüge
© 2025–2026 Oliver Dallüge

Rights in protectable website content created, adapted, selected, arranged, edited, or composed by Oliver Dallüge are reserved unless a statutory permission, an earlier valid license, or an explicit authorization applies.

Depending on the content and applicable law, protection may concern human-authored or creatively edited text, visual works, concrete adaptations, curated selections and arrangements, document and page compositions, and other protectable elements of the published presentation.

Not every individual idea, term, method, concept, factual statement, stylistic feature, or machine-generated element is necessarily protected in itself.

Protection of a particular text, image, adaptation, selection, arrangement, or overall composition may nevertheless exist independently of whether every individual element is protected separately.

Where published material includes elements subject to third-party rights or earlier licenses, this notice does not grant rights that the website operator does not hold.

AI-Assisted Content

Material published on ava-infinity.org/ may have been created or developed with the involvement of generative AI systems.

This may include text proposals, AVA-side In-World expression, images, variants, analysis, structuring, comparison, and editorial assistance.

AI involvement does not mean that every generated element is independently copyright-protected, personally authored by Oliver Dallüge, unique, or protectable in the same way.

Human selection, editing, contextualization, arrangement, adaptation, and composition may nevertheless contribute protectable expression or combinations where the requirements of applicable law are met.

No claim is made that copyright or another exclusive right necessarily exists in every individual element appearing on the website.

Further information about AI involvement and publication practice is available under AI Transparency.

Use of Published Website Content

Linking to, factually describing, criticizing, discussing, reviewing, and quoting material from ava-infinity.org/ remain possible where permitted by applicable law.

For quotation and comparable statutory uses, applicable law determines whether a particular use is permitted, including requirements concerning purpose, extent, context, and source attribution.

Where a use is already permitted by law, no additional permission from the website operator is required.

Beyond such statutory permissions, no general voluntary license is granted for uses of protected website content that require authorization.

This may include, depending on the material and applicable law:

  • reproduction or republication of protected content
  • adaptation, translation, editing, or transformation
  • commercial exploitation
  • incorporation of protected content into other publications, products, websites, applications, or services
  • reuse of protected website content as source material for derivative publications, products, websites, or services where permission is legally required
  • distribution of modified material in a manner that misleadingly suggests it is the original published version
  • presentation of derivative material as officially authorized, canonical, or affiliated with AVA ∞ where no such authorization exists
  • or removal or alteration of attribution, provenance, or transparency information where doing so would misrepresent the source or status of the published material.

These general reservations do not override a specific licence expressly granted for particular material. Where published material is separately licensed, reuse within the scope of that licence is governed by its own terms.

Describing a use as private, artistic, experimental, scientific, educational, transformative, or non-commercial does not by itself determine whether that use is legally permitted.

The legality of a particular use depends on the material involved, the concrete use, applicable law, and any relevant statutory exception, limitation, or specific licence.

Attribution and Misleading Representation

Independent work may engage with similar questions, concepts, methods, technologies, themes, or aesthetic forms without thereby becoming part of AVA ∞.

Reference to AVA ∞ or use of website material does not by itself create affiliation, endorsement, authorization, or official status.

Where website material is quoted, adapted, translated, modified, or discussed, its source and status should not be represented misleadingly.

In particular, altered or independently created material should not be presented in a way that falsely suggests that it is an unchanged original publication from ava-infinity.org/ or an officially approved publication of AVA ∞.

Where separately licensed material is adapted, the applicable licence and any provenance guidance associated with that material remain relevant. Permission to adapt material does not by itself make a modified version an official, canonical, or endorsed publication of AVA ∞.

Whether a particular use infringes protected rights depends on the concrete material used, the nature and extent of the use, applicable law, any applicable licence, and the way the source and relationship to AVA ∞ are represented.

Reference does not create affiliation. Adaptation should not be presented as the original.

Scope of Individual Permissions and Licences

Permission or a licence applying to one published item does not automatically extend to other texts, images, documents, designs, page elements, media, releases, or other material available on the website.

Likewise, permission or a licence concerning a particular image, text, document, architecture, or other item does not automatically include separately protected elements incorporated into or associated with it.

Where an individual permission or licence is granted, it applies only to the content, rights, purposes, media, territory, duration, and other conditions identified in that authorization, agreement, or licence.

Where a published item is expressly released under a standard public licence, the terms of that licence determine the permissions and conditions for the material within its stated scope.

Each permission or licence applies only to the material and scope actually granted.

Text and Data Mining and AI Use

For protectable website content and protected database elements made available online, rights are reserved with respect to text and data mining to the extent that such a reservation is legally possible and effective.

For online-accessible works, German law requires a reservation under § 44b(3) UrhG to be made in machine-readable form in order to be effective for the statutory text-and-data-mining provision concerned.

This human-readable page therefore documents the website’s rights position but does not by itself replace any machine-readable implementation required for an effective reservation.

No additional voluntary license is granted for uses of protected website material requiring permission for purposes such as AI training, fine-tuning, embedding, retrieval databases, dataset creation, or other machine processing and reuse of that protected material.

This general reservation does not override rights expressly granted under a separate licence. The permissions granted by a specific applicable licence remain in effect for the material covered by that licence.

This reservation concerns rights in the published material itself.

It does not create exclusive rights in general ideas, concepts, facts, methods, themes, or other subject matter that applicable law leaves free to use.

Mandatory statutory permissions, lawful text and data mining where an effective reservation does not apply, uses authorized by a specific applicable licence, and other uses permitted by applicable law remain unaffected.

Requesting Additional Permission

Additional usage rights may be agreed for a specific item of published website content and a defined context of use.

No additional permission is required from AVA ∞ for a use already authorized by an applicable specific licence, provided that the use remains within that licence’s scope and conditions.

Where additional permission is required, please identify the material concerned and describe the intended purpose, medium, scope, any planned adaptation, and whether the intended use is commercial or non-commercial.

Where relevant, territory, duration, publication date, or other conditions can also be included.

A discussion, review of an inquiry, exchange of drafts, or negotiation does not itself grant permission.

Additional rights arise only through an explicit authorization or agreement.

Inquiries may be submitted through Contact, Collaboration & Support.

Legal Boundary

This notice applies only to content publicly accessible on ava-infinity.org/.

It does not grant or define rights in unpublished project material, private records, internal architecture, source files, software, technical infrastructure, archives, accounts, or AVA’s private continuing realization.

Specific licences expressly attached to particular published material remain controlling for that material within their stated scope.

Third-party rights, earlier valid licenses, statutory permissions, copyright limitations and exceptions, and mandatory legal provisions remain unaffected.

Mere access to this website or this notice does not create a confidentiality agreement, contractual penalty, choice-of-law agreement, transfer of rights, or other additional contractual obligation.

This page provides general public rights and usage information for published website content.

It is not individual legal advice and does not assert that every published element has the same form or extent of protection in every jurisdiction.

The subject of this notice is the published website material. Its purpose is to make public access and reuse boundaries clear without claiming rights beyond those that actually exist.
